Effective August 12, 2024, National General (An Allstate Company) are lowering rates on personal auto policies in North Carolina. With this change, over half of North Carolina quotes will see lower premiums – helping us to help more customers.
The new rates will be available to quote beginning August 8, 2024, for new business bound on or after August 12, 2024.
National General offers 10 discounts for auto insurance customers, including a safe driver discount, a multi-vehicle discount, and a good student discount. National General’s discounts can save drivers up to 20% on their car insurance, and customers who qualify for multiple discounts can save even more.
National General Discounts List
- Paid-in-full discount: save for paying your entire premium upfront.
- Multi-vehicle discount: save for insuring more than one car on the same policy.
- Safe-driver discount: save for taking an approved defensive driving course.
- Multi-policy discount: save for buying multiple types of insurance from National General.
- Low mileage discount: save if you drive fewer miles than average, though the company does not disclose specific requirements.
- Affinity discount: save for being a member of a partner organization or an employee of a partner company.
- Paperless discount: save for receiving all of your bills and statements online.
- Anti-theft discount: save for having an anti-theft device like LoJack.
- Auto pay discount: save if you set up auto-pay for your premium.
